Relaxed Evening

My first time to experience anything at the Tennessee Theater. It was beautiful. Ray and his trio were great. The whole evening felt very laid back. The sound for the music was great. I thought the sound for Ray speaking was a little soft. I guess he is soft spoken so it was hard to catch everything he was saying. The lighting to me was a little dull. I wasn't sitting up front but my seats weren't that bad ( midway back and center). I couldn't see the faces very well because the lighting was kind of dark. It was a beautiful simple stage setting but the lighting sort of gave a melancholy feeling to the evening. I think I would have enjoyed a little brighter lighting so I could see the artists faces better.
